What is Dimly AI?

Dimly AI is an AI music video generator with a directed workflow. Instead of a one-shot prompt, it works like a video director for your track: you bring a song you own or are allowed to use — an imported Suno track or an uploaded file — choose the chorus or hook, and review a written treatment before anything renders. The result is a finished 15-second, 9:16 video: three timed shots, captions, transitions, and your original audio.

The default mode, Chorus Cut, targets the 15-second social format. Pro and Creator plans extend the same pipeline to Full Music Video production.

The workflow, step by step

1. Bring the song. Paste a Suno link or upload audio (MP3, WAV, M4A). Dimly analyzes the waveform, energy and structure, and proposes hook candidates.
2. Choose the chorus. You confirm the section — Dimly suggests the windows, you make the call on the 15 seconds that matter.
3. Review the direction. A direction card lays out the visual world: palette, light, lens, pacing. Adopt it, adjust it in conversation, or skip it.
4. Approve the shot plan. Before rendering, you see the cut sheet — shot order, durations and transitions — so credits are only spent on a plan you have approved.
5. Export. Shots render, the cut is assembled, captions and your source audio are muxed in, and the video lands in your export history, downloadable and shareable.

Control and cost behavior

• Per-shot retries with refunds. If one shot fails, its credits are returned and you re-run that shot, not the whole sequence.
• Long renders do not hold you hostage. Generation takes minutes; you can leave, come back, and stop a run at any time.
• Clear model tiers. PixVerse v6 720p on the weekly pass; MiniMax H3 768P from Starter; H3 2K and Seedance 2.5 on Pro; H3 up to 4K on Creator.
• Media library and share pages. Source tracks, generated takes and exports stay organized per project, with public share pages for client review.
